Here are a few quotes from the next video:

"Many of us were told in private conversation, that if we voted against this bill, that the sky would fall, the market would drop 2 or 3 thousand points the first day, another couple thousand the second day. And a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted No" ~ Congressman Bradley James "Brad" Sherman (American politician)

His speech is around the 9:26 mark

"We're witnessing a slow and steady take over of our true freedoms. Now we see the government taking over banks, car companies, insurance, we're told what cars we can drive, how much we can make, and now they want to take control of our healthcare" ~ Jon Voight

His speech is around the 11:32mark

UPDATE: 13/02/13 It has just been brought to my attention that billionaire, George Soros, is linked to GetUp and Avaaz. Here is a piece taken from an article -

"It is clear that GetUp follows the Soros model in Australia. It is set up as a “non-partisan” activist group to harvest donations that are exempt from Australia’s political donations laws. The corporate entity, Getup Limited does not appear on the Australian Electoral Commission’s list of “associated entities”, even though it claims on its website that is legally obliged to disclose donations over $11,200 to the AEC."

and here the article in full http://www.australian-news.net/Soros/GetUp_exposed.htm

in other words, do your own research and make up your own mind

Australia Day ~ The Homeschool Way

Today is January 26th, 2013, otherwise known as "Australia Day" here in Australia.

I think back to when the kids went to public school and what they were taught about Australia Day from the schooling system. They would come home with decorated Australian flags and a map of Australia where they had drawn a ship with the dotted lines as the ship made its way to Australia.

The kids were taught about navigator and astronomer Captain James Cook , that claimed the whole of the east coast of Australia for Great Britain on 22 August 1770, naming eastern Australia 'New South Wales'.

However, Australia was already home to over 250 indigenous tribes. These tribes, were the "first Australians"

As homecshoolers, we are now able to take our time and research deeper into the possible meanings and history behind "Australia Day" ......... Lets take a closer look.

In 1787, King George III sealed Australia’s fate by declaring it Britain’s new convict colony. Being sent to Botany Bay was a severe punishment. Sentences ranged from a minimum exile of seven years to life, with varying degrees of hard labour.

Basically, Australia became a dumping ground for Britains convicts. Aboriginal tribes were forced to re locate. New babies were born - the half caste - as a result of rape. Many Aboriginal children were removed from their families and were taken away to be "educated" in the white mans ways. These children are known as "The Stolen Generation"

There are many other points to be researched for "Australia Day" but I share only the above. By all means, do your own research and come up with your own conclusions.

I cannot change the past, but I can certainly help to alter the future.

Today in Australia, I believe the governments still do not understand the simplicity that life has to offer. Governments, worldwide, continue to take, take, take but now, as One People, we have the technologies and resources to help governmnets understand that enough is enough.

Here are a few things that some governements are up to, along with links to petitions to let them know that we are One and it is time for the old paradigm to fall as we continue making way for the New ~ the Love ~ the Peace ~ the Unity for all humanity, nature, animals, ~ ALL

In Australia, on this day of January 26th 2013, we have the

Great Barrier Reef underthreat of being dredged up even more to make way for Coal Seam Gas .......

The 40 million year old Tarkine forest under threat of being excavated for mining companies

Way back in the 1700's, Australia was "taken" and claimed and controlled. Governmnets continue to try and "take", claim and control ............ and the more of us that speak up, the more of an impact we will have to save our planet!

"The Sky People have sent us a message... that they can take whatever they want. That no one can stop them. Well, we will send them a message. You ride out as fast as the wind can carry you. You tell the other clans to come. Tell them Toruk Macto calls to them! You fly now, with me! My brothers! Sisters! And we will show the Sky People... that they cannot take whatever they want! And that this... this is our land!" ~ Jack Sully ~ Avatar
